Delta 1 ??
« on: August 13, 2006, 02:12:30 PM »
went and had the delta 1 puched yesterday and my pro shop
guy said that the pin and mass bias lined up, but the
cg was 3 inches left.  which he showed me by pointing out the
little orange dot.  are all three suppose to line-up?  he
said the ball was a blem, but it didnt have an X on it.
any info would be appreciated.

No its not a blem, now a days quite a few mass bias balls have an out of line CG. Its just how the core is in the ball, its legal and marked right (well it could be wrong, weight it to double check but I bet its right). A lot of the time it can be helpful as you can go with the cg kicked in and the pin closer to your pap and the MB in a strong position without a weight hole.

it was drilled pin 1" over ring finger and mass bias
3 1/2" right of thumb hole.  he said if he put the
mb in the strong position(where i wanted it) it would
have gave it negative side weight.  i've been out of
bowling for almost 7 years and all this new terminology
is foreign to me.  so instead of having a ball that would
go long and strong move to pocket, now its more of a
urethane hook.  just a smooth arc.  ball still hits hard
but not what i was lookin for

Gunny.....

Have your pro shop shine the ball up a bit with Track's Magic Shine polish. That will help tremendously. OOB even if he would have put the MB in that position......it still would be early arcing...the cover is just that strong.

Hey Gunny,

I think you'll love the ball buddy! I recently had my Mean Machine punched up and the CG is in the negative position; however, I was assured by my ball driller that the CG placement wouldn't matter...only where the pin and Mass Bias was would be what I needed to worry about...I sure felt better too once I seen how much the Meanie was hooking...even more than the Robo Rule! Hope this helps, God Bless You and have a great week!
