Mean Machine or not?
« on: July 31, 2006, 08:38:24 AM »
Do you guys think OOB the Mean Machine hooks more than a Strike Zone? My Strike Zone is drilled for med/hvy so I was hoping I could drill a Mean Machine to hook more.

I think so. Many of bowlers that had the Strike Zone complained that it didn't hook as much as advertised. The Mean Machine does not need to be advertised...it hooks

Depends where you want it. Although I did not drill any Strikes for anyone last year, I do believe it is particle...if so, it should roll sooner and have a smoother backend than the Mean....so if you want more action at the back of the lane, go for the Mean!

Hey strike,

In oil handling capabilities, they're both pretty close but I see the Mean with a more pronounced backend finish.  The SZ is smoother even though it is just reactive.  My Mean has a strong midlane read and a strong backend finish, very good combo.  You can always alter the cover to handle more oil as needed.
