Something in the Track line that will conquer this scenario?
Thanks.

I would recommend a freadazoid with 4 1/2 by 3 1/2 drill. I think it will go with your equipment better and be more versitile that the animal or Phenom.
I have drilled every thing in the track line and I think the Freakazoid is probably one of the three best balls we make right now. I bowl in a house that is medium with carry down and most of the stuff hits the dry and hooks too early or skids too far in the oil. I have thrown the freakazoid and it blends it all out and gets into a roll before the carry down. Plus I shot 300 with the second one on B pattern in a regional. B pattern the ball needs to read the middles real well or it won't match the pattern.

A Freakazoid would go well with the pin above your fingers and the cg swung out(4.5 x 3 3/4).  This will guide your ball through the heads nice and easy, and it will add more bite in the carrydown.  The balls that you might also want to look out for is the Animal Untamed and the Rule.

Hope this helps.

Brian,

There were a few very good suggestions already mentioned. Rule, Freakazoid, or the Animal Untamed. The Freakazoid will have less trouble with the medium head oil condition than the other 2. I cannot suggest a layout until I know what kind of game you have or how you throw the ball. I would go with a layout that will clear the heads easier and have a strong backend reaction that will cut through that carrydown.

Ex,
I have a low track with my PAP being: 4 5/16 over and 1/4 up. My ball speed is around 15-16mph (on Qubica) I like to play inside (around 3rd arrow) and deeper. I average upwards of 215; mainly due to making spares. I'm bowling in a new town after a year and half layoff. I've seemed to have rekindled that desire to bowl once again. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Hey Brian,

With the lower track, I'd suggest going with a stronger cover like the Untamed to overpower the carrydown.  Carrydown appears when we don't have enough surface on the backend to react.  Therefore, by changing to a stronger ball which can hook thru that carrydown, it should make the shot look more normal.  I also agree with Ex on drilling for more length and a strong backend.  Based on your info, I'd go with a pin around 3 7/8 to 4 with the mass bias in a strong position as well.  We don't need the ball to roll early, we'd like to have it finish harder in the backend, hence having the mb in a strong position.  Hope this helps...

Brian, I was thinking exactly of the layout that Rick mentioned. MB in strong position usually means about 1 inch or so right of the thumb....naturally this is going to depend your PAP location.
