Animal-- secrets shhh!

match up.

Animalvs Unleased vs Phenom
  • Phenom pin at 3.5 x 1" above midline and MB at 4.5" 800 matte

  • Phenom unleashed pin at 4.00 x 3 above midline and MB at 4.5" 1500 smooth

  • animal 5" x 1.5 inches above midline x 3" MB from pap. OOB finish

  • Lanes
    1/3 synthetic,2/3 wood.
fresh oil. med - heavy. not a flood and some bank room. a THS.

    Phenom--> flipped hard, small swing!!
Unleashed--> strong on the backend and swingable.

    Now the Animal.

I rolled 3 games rotating all the ball and different lines.

I realized that I was over throwing the ball. Picked that up the last 2 weeks because the Unleashed moved so hard on the backend during league.

I settled down and then threw 3 with the animal alone.I wanted a ball to skate the heads and have a strong midlane and easy on the backend. I have finally figured out that that the overlay dries up before the midlanes and can make you shoot through your break point when you pick up speed , and if you swing, it you will suffer.

    Ok, finally my secrets:

Let this ball do the work.
the less you hit it the harder it hits!
I played a weak release right up the oil line and destroyed rack after Rack!
shot 190 swinging it first game. changed to this line and release and rang up 230's. had I been able to duplicate a shot I'm sure I would have had 250's. I missed by 5 boards a few times and it just doesn't come back as were my Unleased screams back.

Play This ball straighter up the boards.
Track rates this backend as one of the lowest in the morpheus line up and they are right. heavy handed player will like a nice in and out shot on a THS with this. I turned it up and was impressed. I can't do it for long so I went back to normal.
Tweeners may struggle with some layouts and surfaces because it moves nicely in the midlane but they may not have enough hand to make it come back. remember it is a particle after all and it arcing buy nature.

this is not a backend ball.
do not expect reactive type movement from it. It goes straighter so expect it to play nicely when the heads are not as slick.

I also suspect the compound finish. I never really like the heavy compound finish on balls. The local pro shop in the lanes uses Ebonite particle polishes and the seam to work better at ths house. I don't know why.

    Conclusion
This ball will rock on a fresh heavy pattern and be playable for all three games. Just drill it and surface it for how you lanes need to be played.
