Animal Question
« on: October 01, 2004, 03:06:25 AM »
Hey fellas I finally got my animal back and got it drilled up. First real game with it, I shot a 259. It totally destroys the rack when it hits it. My ball driller supposedly put the strongest drill track remends for it. I believe its like a 12:00 drill, somewhat stacked. The pin next to the finger with the cg below but a little to the right, with a weighthole close to the cg. Im going off memory so I may be a little off. The ball rolls pretty strong and has a good backend, very predictable. Im remember a long time ago this being a topic. I was wondering if he was right and this is the strongest drill you can put on that ball. Also im not sure if this posted before. Is the animal a particle pearl or just a particle?

lil,

The Animal is just particle, no pearl. Track used an additive in it to give it that look----same with the Animal Untamed.

It is really difficult based on the info you gave to tell if it is the strongest drill you can put on an Animal. Next time you use it take a good look at it and let us know where the pin and MB are located in relation to your PAP.

Good shooting with the ball though.

Well now that i think of it more, the mb is by the thumb the cg and pin are above it but not exactly, I guess my ball driller has a shaky hand. The pin is almost right to the next of the ring finger and the cg is under it about 1.5 to 2 inches with the mb right by the thumb right under. THe difference is the weight hole is pretty close to my cg its not that far away like some of my other balls. But it moves pretty good on the backend. I play it up ten and it will crush the pocket. If i play it out to five it comes back pretty good to.

Actually, the Animal is a particle soild/pearl blend.  I was curious about the look and what to expect out of the ball, so I email Track.  Chuck Gardner said it is a blend.

lil, too much of the layout is going to depend on your release, your axis tilt, you PAP etc...are you able to provide that info?

I dont know a whole lot of that stuff but my track is close to the fingers, maybe 2 inches or so,which is usually where the ring goes around the ball. Im not sure about the pap. I have had a couple guys tell me I tend to help the ball with my release. My ball driller said im versatile though with the way i throw the ball.
