The Untamed, out of box, will roll sooner than the Inferno. The Untamed has a dull cover where the original Inferno comes polished. With that said, due to the Inferno having a polished cover, it will also have more backend, due to the polish skidding and retaining its energy, where the Untamed's dull cover will try to roll sooner. You can always polish the Untamed or try to sand the Inferno, but I have found Track's covers to be more friendly to changing the surface than other brands. Can't say nobody compares, but for the most part, Track has pretty good versatility.

If you have any more questions, just write!

Thanks!

Hey lilphyzx,

I have a good friend that has both, 18+ mph and high tilt.  He had the Inferno(about 4x3) first so I drilled the Untamed with the mass bias at 2.5 with the pin out.  Even with the pin out, the Untamed pulled much earlier than the Inferno.  He couldn't play the 2 at the same line, the Untamed pulled up and went high.  He had to swing it which he wasn't used to cause he normally doesn't have to swing at his speed and tilt.  Maybe I can get him to post here as well, he's also a BR member.

I will have to say again how versatile the stronger mass bias balls are in regards to drill positioning.  They will respond to whatever position you place them in.  Hope this helps...

Thanks that helps a bit. I have a untamed but it often made me work harder to use it. So i was considering redrilling it, but I have been more or less looking for a stronger reactive to use, and I was wondering if drilled differently would it be a better ball than the inferno.

Untamed rolls much sooner than the Inferno. I had an Inferno a while ago, and it is a few steps below the Untamed as far as oil handling abilities. The Untamed will not be as angular on the backend of the lane. Basically....they are 2 totally different "animals".

Well i bought my untamed from my proshop guy and never had it redrilled. He had it drilled to go long and recover. He had the pin below the finger maybe a inch or so with the cg kicked to the right and below the pin with the mass bias diagonal from the cg with a weighthole. So its a different drill for me. I was considering redrilling it to make it stronger. Then it could be the way i throw the ball too. I have a low axis tilt im told and i sort of stay on the bottom about 6 oclock until i go to release the ball then im about 11:57 once its out of my hand. So im told im a relatively good spinner. The way its drilled now I could get it to move but not a whole lot at first. Now it moves a little more but I just gave up on it early.
