I have plugged and redrill my Animal, This time I drill it a 25 degree layout.
My spec,
Speed is about 15 mph, average rev, pap 5" over and 5/8" up.
Ball specs,
Pin 1 1/2" about midline, mb passed val, weight hole 1 3/4 pass pap, finish 1000 abralon
Question
What would be the best condition for this ball, and what kind of ball reaction I will get??
PS I have tried it on a light THS, I dont like it, seems there is no mid lane read, went too long and reaction is not strong enough at the backend when it hit the dry.
This is my first 25 degree ball, thats why I dont really know what it should look like.
Thanks

Pin is 1 1/2" above midline, but how far from your PAP? How far past your VAL is the MB?

Pin is 3 1/2" from PAP, and MB is 2 1/4" pass VAL

That layout sounds VERY VERY strong. I'd think it would get into a very early forward roll around 35ft or so...but that's just my guess. It's definitly an early revving layout and it should give you a very even and strong arc (I'd think).

I think icetink is pretty much right on. What surface is the ball at currently?

Thx Ex and Icetink
With 1000 Abralon.
And what type of condition best suit this layout?

Lots of oil with strong backends.
Hook set is your reaction.
REaction should be early even and rounded.

PS I missed, weighthole position past pap should add a little kick to it!

Hey laufaye,
I'd say that it would work better on med/med to med/heavy for you. I had mine at 1000 and it still wasn't quite enough for the true heavy stuff, had to sand it down to 600. With your speed (15mph?), I'd say you'll still be able to get the ball down the lane on the conditions mentioned without a lot of trouble and have it pick up in the mids with a small arc on the back. The layout does describe more of a hook/set reaction but that will depend somewhat on your tilt. Hope this helps...
PS. Quick note, profile has 18mph and thread has 15mph...that's a big difference, should probably double check that.

Thx Luckylefty and Rick
Yes I slow down my speed, been working on my timing, and also trying to bring back the speed too, might take some time.
Will put up a 45 ft sport shot and see what happen, will let you guys know.
Many thanks
