Looking to get a little more action out of my Animal.
Drilling specs:
Pin to PAP: 3 7/8"
MB to PAP: 4 1/4"
Pin is 4" above the mid-line. MB is around 2" to the right of thumb.
Ending weights: + 7/8 side and + 3/8 finger.
Bowler specs:
Speed ~ 15mph
Revs ~ 250
Tilt ~ 16.5*
Right now the ball is just a little bit too long - can't really seem to get it to turn the corner.
Any suggestions for x-hole placement, size & depth will be greatly appreciated.

The Animal has been my benchmark ball since it came out.My best reaction has always come from a pin below the fingers, and I have found that in any kind of oil, the ball prefers to be thrown with very little side rotation.
Check out the reviews section as well.

If the specs you listed are correct you shouldn't need a hole. I would just adjust the surface first. Try taking it down to 1000 abralon or even hit it with a grey scotchbrite.

I've got it at 600 grit right now - that seemed to be the sweet spot for getting a decent reaction. Never had any problems with it burning up or anything like that. I don't see a lot of oil, but I've never had a problem with using this ball for all 3 league games.
I'm mostly guessing on the bowler specs. I used to throw ~ 14mph with 225 revs. After coming back from injury and working on some things, I've added some speed and minimal revs, so I'm guessing I'm around 15- 15 1/2 mph and around 250 revs (revs really depend on my release, which is why I have 2 different PAPs listed in my profile - I've measured both listed PAPs to be accurate).
I never really had a problem with the slower speed, but I also lofted the ball more back then. That doesn't really fit the way I would prefer to play now.
I always just figured the extra length was due to the pin being so high above the mid-line. I didn't know if there was way to get it to react a little earlier by using an x-hole. I know the ball is legal, but I also know have some room to fine-tune the reaction.

The Animal used the standard Track asymmetric drill sheet that all the other Freak/Animal/Phenom/Rule line balls used. The only difference was it said "Animal" at the top.

williewc, that would be greatly appreciated if you can find it.
Shelley - strangely the Animal, Phenom Unleashed, Mutant, and Xception that I have did not come with drill sheets - I guess that's what I get for buying used balls! I'd check the website, but they don't have any legacy info.
I actually downloaded the drill sheet a while back, but lost it (and everything else) when my hard drive crashed!
