Someone talk to me about the Temper
« on: August 24, 2007, 12:51:37 AM »
The spec sheet calls it a "skid/flip" reaction but the lane graph looks kinda arcy.  The Kinetic looks much more hockey-stick than the Temper does, by comparison.  I have a Temper on order, but I was hoping to hear some feedback about where it fits in  your arsenal.

Carl has stated that the Temper is a great benchmark ball, and a good ball for medium oil

Tony,

The Temper is very arcy.......but it does retain energy better than most "arcy" balls. (is arcy a word?)

I do see it as our benchmark type ball......surface adjustments may be necessary depending on the type of pattern that you are on.

I'm all about arcyness.  Normally, when I get two of a ball, I'll drill one with the pin at 4.5" from my PAP and the second 2" from my PAP.  I usually can start with the strong pin and step down to the weak pin when they start hooking.

But recently I've found myself starting off with the weak pin and play up the boards.  I am having the most success with that.  Less is more, kinda thing.  So if I can get a control ball to start, I should be able to drill a strong arc and weak arc with two of the same ball.

I see that it's release date is September 10.  I can't wait!

Tony,

I think the Temper will work good for you if that is the reaction you are looking for.
