Arsenal Aggressive Question

If I want this to be my oil ball, what drill would you put on it, and how would you keep the surface? OOB or what grit?

I had this ball for a while and havent drilled it yet. I also have the Delta, which is polished, and the Reactive (dull) that are my two strongest balls.

Buck,

This is the easy way out but....

The Aggressive is just one of those balls that you slap your favorite layout (for the condition you want to use it on) on the ball and let 'er rip.

Try it OOB and play with the surface from there to see where you think you will need it.

You will not be disappointed.

Hey Buck,

Ex is right, I've drilled several with completely different layouts and they all reacted very well.  I'd say to try a 4.5x4 pin up and you see some pretty strong reaction from this ball.  Use it out of box first to see how you like it and then adjust accordingly if needed.  Hope this helps some....

These guys are the best and know there stuff.  Mine is drilled pin over ring and cg kicked out about 2 inches from the mid.  Small weighthole to keep it in spec.  I have the surface at 600 on it.  This thing motors on oil.  Just my $.02

If you want it for heavy oil only then drill it strong.  Put the pin in the leverage position.  This will allow it to be used on a swamp.

I like EX's idea.  I drilled mine with my favorite layout.  Pin above the bridge 5.5" from pap and the cg kicked right to 1oz and no balance hole.  This ball is great for med/heavy oil for me.  

The Aggressive really flares a lot and hits great.  After many games on it and my angular I have come to this conclusion.  Both are great balls but I like the aggressive the most.  That is saying a lot because the angular is a fantastic ball.

I would be leary of putting the pin in too strong a position (i.e leverage) because of the high flaring core.  It would cause the ball to overflare early, burn and not react much.  I got much more hook out of mine drilled 5.5 than the other drilled 4.5 because of the later flares.  My wife gets a good amount of hook out of hers and IIRC her's is 4.75 inches but she has a lot lower rev count.

It's a great ball and a sleeper.  The pro shop I'm affiliated with has 2 that I will probably pick up. Like EX said, throw it OOB and then go from there.

Achappy is right.  Scratch my idea of leverage for the pin position.  It will flare way too early and burn up on you.  I love long pin to pap distances on all of my equipment.  It just saves that much more energy for the pins and break point.

The Aggressive is very versatile.  I can play mine up the boards, swing wide when the shot plays it.  I had some difficulty with HEAVY oil, and it must be kept clean.  Although, if you are accurate, you can find a way to score with it on any condition.  Its even on the back, so control is easy, and it hits very hard.
