Carl,
I really don't understand much of layouts but the only thing I can say is that it goes long and hits strong.
On other lane conditions, a tree with 37feets oil and dry outlines, both on synthetic and wooden lanes, the machine works just fine. Even when the oil goes down to 41 feets.
What I heard about this particular bowling centre is that when a tournament took place over there and we had our best players, every one of them were complaining about the oil. My pro shop guy says that their machine really has a problem.
The fact is when I face such conditions, what can I do? I watched other players with MEGA revs playing there and their ball hooked just 2-3 boards. Isn't it strange?
Anyway, I am thinking of getting a Mean Machine which is for heavy oil and a smooth finish. By the way, what is the grit of the Mean Machine and the original Machine? For the original machine, I think that is 1500 polish.
