I finally decied to retire that ball on my last night of bowling for the winter. I shot a 267 with it last game and I shot my first 300 with it earlier this year. So Im retireing it and it shall sit on a shelf for memories. But man I still want to use it!
I just had it resurfaced and it still hits like a ton of bricks. Anyone else still throwing this gem or no? Just curious about it.

What a tenpin?? Where's the messengers?
-
I dont throw one, but there are 3 guys in my Monday night league who throw it and they all avg over 210 with it.
--------------------
How am I supposed to knock all 10 down with one ball?!?
-
A guy I bowl league with uses it to carry 210+, too.
--------------------
I start each day with yoga and meditation. I put my right foot under my left thigh. I put my left foot under my right thigh. I arch my back as much as I can, and then I begin my mantra: Ouch, oh, that hurts.
-
i still throw it although because of changing conditions i use it very different than when i first had it. I had my first and third 300's with it, and when i got it, it hooked soooo much. Just last night i pulled it out and used it to go straight up 10 because everything else i had was way too aggressive, shot 840 for 4 games, nice 210 average.
Very predictable ball, i love it and still throw it, my Triton Heat, and my Assassin. I have Super Freak and Freak Out, but they just dont give me the consistancy the old stuff did.
--------------------
am i still considered a lefty, i never get to play the left side of the lane

I'll raise you one, anyone still throw the original Triton Heat? mine is drilled 4.5x3 pin under ring finger, strong roll/arc look, was going to plug it and drill 2x2, the Elite pearl might get that now, a 6/+164 finish to climb into the cash list (16-+69 overall) in our latest Aussie major (Melbourne Cup) has convinced me that this is the best ball ever made bar none, old Track balls rule!!

Do you want some of THIS!!!

All I can say about the TKO Contender is, trying to find a similar replacement is giving me a headache. I think my ball went through the cold war and back. But, I feel that it is that absolute best ball for any variety of conditions.

My wife still throws her Contender, and you can't take that ball away from her. A while back I bought her a Money to replace it, the Money was used a few times, now it sits in the closet while the Contender is in her bag still. Was considering a Super Freak for her, but what's the point? She loves the Contender still and it still hooks and hits like new for her.
