I've been excited several times about upcoming releases but I've never been excited about an entire line as I am now. The 4 upcoming balls along with the current line contains such a vast diversity in terms of cover, core and ball reaction. You have PEAK Particle, GOO LS, GOO LS Fang, Power Plus, Power Plus Pearl, Power Pack, Power Plus Ex, all wrapped in low, medium and high RG symmetrical and asymmetrical cores. I feel with the addition of the Desert Heat, they have the best all inclusive arsenal.
Here is what I'm looking forward to:
Delta/X5.0: Something when I need that strong change of direction downlane or playing deep angles. Just open them up as much as possible.
Aggressive/Arsenal Reactive/Slash or Solution: Just pure controlled power when fresh and more pop downlane when one is hooking too early. Great reads from all of them.
Solution Power Plus Ex/Heat/Desert Heat: Medium to light oil balls that provide great read and reaction. The "Sunkist" has been such a great track area and square up ball. I'm suspecting the Solution to have a tad more kick downlane than the Heat which would be perfect.

Will the Delta/x 5.0 outhook the GP2? When will it come out?

The X5.0 is out now but it's not an oiler like the GP2. Still very strong in the midlane and backend in OOB. I don't know the specifics yet of the Delta but it's suppose to be a sanded GOO LS cover.

Saw the Delta yesterday. It is GOO LS dull, awesome looking ball. Don't know how many boards it will cover, but I am sure it will not outhook the GP2, considering the GOO LS is resin and is the longer version of Goo, also found on the original X. The GP2 will start sooner, due to its cover. The Delta *should* backend more as it will get down the lane better and have more energy for the backend. Looks like it will go in right over top of the original Rule as it was on closeout special at the trade show and was not even in the Track booth.
Delta is due in the middle of August to be shipped to distributors.

The Epoxy ball in October will probably challenge the GP2 in hook potential...but the ball wasn't there, so no specs, no colors, nothing on it other than that, and the name-THE MACHINE!

How often are there board rumbles between the Brunswick and Track guys? I've only been visiting this site a few months, but those seem to be the two dominant camps. Well, there is of course that crazy Lane #1 contingent as well.
Start a topic about the best ball for a particular condition and chances are you'll get a pretty even split between Track and Brunswick answers.
-
I have ZERO issues with any of the Brunswick guys. All have been class acts with me whenever I have chimed in. Now of course, we need to work on what they put in their bag

No worries, I'm not a ripper at all. Just curious is all!
I have yet to try a Track, but I plan to soon!

Well, there's a HUGE gap in my arsenal, so it's hard to say. I switched to fifteen recently, so the only things I have been carrying are a Big Deal and a V2 Power. (Need a span change on the BD though, so I'm not even using it right now.) So something versatile in the medium down to light category.
-
achappy,
I agree completely. With the new releases you will have different lines of very good equipment to try. This was all done with the purpose of satisfying the customer.

Can't go wrong with the original X for medium conditions....Heat is great as well. Depends on how much $$ you want to spend.
Also...has anyone looked lately at how COMPLETE the lines are-
High Perf Asymmetrical
GP2-solid particle
Delta-solid reactive
5.0-pearl particle
X-pearl reactive
High Perf Symmetrical
Aggressive-solid particle
FAZ-solid reactive
Angular-pearl particle
Reactive-pearl reactive
Classic performance
Blue-solid particle
Slash-solid reactive
Heat-pearl reactive
Desert-pearl reactive
Solutions offer a good mix as well
pearl reactive and solid reactive if I remember right.
Classic is only missing a pearl particle, and every line would offer one type of each cover....until the Epoxy comes out!

Don't for get about the most anticipated ball other than the Desert Heat. The Flaming T Spare Ball might be one of the biggest sellers this Fall. Add this to the new and current line of equipment and Track has you covered from Head to Tote.

What are some of the better "skid flip" balls from Track? I kind of like that kind of reaction, as I like to play it down and in from the ten board.

Well, I'm a sucker for 'brand new' balls, so maybe that Arsenal Reactive?
-
achappy--
You have done it again, such a great lesson in the ENGLISH language. You not only say it the right way, but great reads on every line of balls. We do have the best Equipment on the market and the ball sales here in the NOR-CAL tell the story.
I can't wait too see this stuff up close.
GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS

splendorlex,
REMEMBER...I have not thrown the Arsenal Reactive, but from everything that was stated about it during the trade show I have to say that skid/flip is not in the nature of this ball.
For Skid/Flip the Xception and Heat are the best choices right now.

D Pat, you are correct. The original Rule has Goo, the original Xception had Goo LS pearl, which the LS stood for long/strong in comparison to the original Goo. The new Delta has Goo LS soild from what I have been told.
