desert heat question

Has anyone drilled there desert heat like a spare ball.  Pin above the bridge and cg in the grip center.  If so how do you like the reaction?

Mine's drilled similiar to what you're explaining: Pin above ring, cg stacked under.  I like the reaction.  Skids in oil, smooth on dry.  It's pretty good for short wet/dry patterns as well!

Mine is drilled pin below bridge, cg in center and it is SMOOTH!! It gets great length with a nice controlled smooth backend. I love that ball!!

Hey CHI,

That is exactly the way we drilled up Dain's Desert Heat...when he can't play deep..he always pulls that one out and plays more of a direct angle to the pocket...I gotta work with him on his spare shooting..especially the 10 pin, he's been struggling as of late on that one! The Desert can make a decent spare ball, but if you are dealing with extreme dry backends plastic is still the better choice for a spare ball.

I have mine drilled 4.5 from PAP pin above ring finger and on most shots I hit the ball is perfect for a spare ball.
