delayed reaction
« on: March 03, 2006, 04:24:03 PM »
How well does delayed reaction work?  I'm thinking of buying some of this polish for one of my balls to make it better for dry lanes.  Does this polish really tame the reaction or just make the ball go really long?

it works quite well it will put a  light polish on the ball but the slip agent in it will make the ball go much longer and tame the backends. Some have complained that it makes the ball go too long I love it.....

Did they run the oil machine?  Was there any oil in it.....

My least favorite of Track's polishes.  I liked Clean N Shine better (now discontinued).  Delayed Reaction does as advertised - delays the reation and tames the backend.  Definitely, helps to deaden a ball for drier conditions. To remove the Slip Agent in Delayed Reaction and return the ball back to normal, I have had sand the ball.  So be sure you want to tame a ball down before you apply.

Clean N Shine delayed reaction and didn't tame backend quite as much.  Also, it was easier to remove (usually cleaning with Clean N Sheen was adequate).

Magic Shine assists ball getting through heads but leaves backend strong.

Hey chi,

It does help tame the backend some but of course it will vary upon bowler and the amount applied.

Thanks guys for the info.  Magic shine is best for med oil in my opinion because of the increase in back end it gives.  I'm looking for a good polish to put on a ball for dry lanes.  I will have to get abottle and try it.
