What did you think of it? What type of reaction?  What type of cover?

Would be nice to know. Unfortunately Ebonite hated Track fans and took 95% of the Phoenixes and released them overseas. Then to add insult to injury they released another 4 or so in that series.

Cold blooded.

For me, I would put it in the strong symmetrical pearl category. Very predictable overall. Clean through the heads, with a nice arc on the back end. Definitely strong off of the dry, but not jumpy. Overall, very versatile on a variety of lane conditions, from sport to house shots. Definitely didn't fit into Track's "skid/snap" mold. I had a chance to talk with one of the ball designers for 900G (previously with Columbia/Track) and was told that in the eyes of Ebonite, this ball was inferior to their products and they chose not to take it. The original phoenix was made by the pre-buy out Track and the ones after were made by Ebonite. You will also hear a lot of people describe the Temper as being the closest ball to the Phoenix. Hope this helps some as there is not too much feedback on this ball.

It was too bad also as it looked like a promising ball before the Ebonite takeover. Looked pretty damn cool with the colors too.
