Arsenal aggressive- How strong polished?
« on: August 03, 2005, 11:49:23 AM »
I've been asking quite a few questions lately ( as Brunslinger ), and am narrowing the field pretty quickly, thanks to the great advice.

I like the looks of the arsenal series and was wondering how much difference between the aggressive highly polished and the angular o.o.b.?

I've heard some really good things about the aggressive, and am leaning towards it, if I can tame it down enough.  The angular sounds a bit skid/flippy for my taste.

Will still be strong, but the obvious is it will go longer than a factory surface Aggressive and have more backend. It will get through the heads easier as the night goes on than a factory surface Aggressive. Ex LOVES his sanded to 2000 grit, and I must admit, it works VERY well for him.

My arsenal aggressive is pretty strong, I use it for heavier conditions but it is very versatile for mediums even if you dont polish it up. Its a smooth rolling ball and gives you good backend plus a heck of a hit. I would try it OOB first before thinking of polishing it. I never liked my angular OOB. It was said to be a step up from the xception but I thought it sucked. For it to be a step up it didnt handle carry down worth crap and the backend was just not there compared to the xception. So im not a fan of the angular at all but the aggressive is a great choice. I wouldnt worry about trying to tame it down. Move left a bit and let her go.

I had mine drilled just like my aggressive. But compared to my xception it wasnt a step up. It was a step down. It just wasnt what i was looking for. I wanted something more like the reactive they have coming out. Something that i could use when the xception just isnt quite turning the corner. They both were drilled with the pin close to the finger and the cg i believe stacked under or somewhere right up under. I asked for the strongest drill for both balls so I expected alot more out of the angular. Now i traded a buddy for it and he is a full roller. He absolutely loves it and he quite often woops me pretty badly with it when he pulls it out. I guess the ball is much better when playing extreme tight angles to the pocket.
