I had a chance a couple of days ago to bowl on a pair with a guy throwing an Absolute Inferno. He was a bit of a cranker---definately more revs than me, and he had slightly slower ball speed.
With the Aggressive I had to play inside of him. He was starting the ball at about 22 with a breakpoint around 8 board. With the AggressiveI had to play 25 with my breakpoint at about the same area. I tried moving over and playing his line just to get more of a comparison, but when I did the Aggressive was just too much ball. It read the lane a couple of ft sooner than the Absolute and had more backend. My Aggressive's cover is at 2000 grit wet sand.
Another thing I wanted to see was how each was hitting the pins. The Aggressive kept the pins lower, which meant less corner pins for me. I did notice that the bowler did not have any tug area, if he was inside the Absolute was just not strong enough to get to the pocket strong.
Overall I was not impressed at all with what I saw out of the Absolute.....I will keep my Aggressive. BTW---I beat the guy to move on in the sweeper, so winning is always a good thing.
