Arsenal Angular Coverstock Question
« on: August 27, 2006, 06:36:05 AM »
I have been using an Arsenal Angular for the second half of last season and the summer season. The last few weeks the reaction of the ball seems to have gotten noticealby weaker. Is it time to do something with the cover. Track Clean and Shine says that it is supposed to revitalize particle coverstocks. Is this the best option?

Hey Jimmy,

My first Robo Rule was doing something similar to what your Angular is doing...although I'm very wary around altering the cover excepting cleaning it with Power Wash...I decided that after much use of my Robo Rule it was time to do something to bring it back...my teammate who is also a member of Track's Amateur Staff Mike Webber said to put it in the Rejuvenator...he had used this many times to bring back his Machine which he put dozens of games on and everytime after this treatment, the ball came back to life. I also do have to agree with this method, I still have the Robo Rule sitting in my living room, just waiting to make a return to the lanes...hope this helps buddy! I'm sure the gurus will be here to give their thoughts as well! God Bless You and have a great week!

Jimmy,

I too believe in the Rejuvinator...I think it works very well.

PERSONALLY------------I like the hot water method. I use a rinse tub I have in the basement. I fill it with hot tap water and dawn dish soap. Let the ball sit in it for about half an hour or so. Before I take the ball out of the water I wipe it (while still in the water) with a white scotchbrite pad. This breaks up the oil and dirt that may still be on the surface.

Let me know how it works.
