Coverstock: Out of Box
Lane conditions: med to med/med oil
I’ve been throwing this ball for about a month now and I feel pretty comfortable to write it up. In relationship to the Track Line, this ball is about 3-4 boards stronger than the Xception. It can handle a little heavier oil and offers a very strong backend on that condition.
It is very clean through the fronts with good read in the mids and finishes very well. The strength of this ball to me however is when I can stroke it or push it to the free hook and it just charges back on its own. I mention the stroke or push because a majority of bowlers are faster than me, so getting thru the heads and playing more of the dry area will offer most of you great recovery strength and finish downlane.
It can definitely eat through the carry down without a problem and the hit is very strong. A very nice compliment to the Xception or a great benchmark ball to start with on your average house shots.
On edit: I forgot to mention to those who had doubt about their driller's knowledge with mass bias, this is our high performance "symmetrical" line. They shouldn't have any problems drilling this ball along with the Arsenal Agressive.

The Angular is going to give you a different look than the Untamed and the Slash. I totally agree with Rick on the 3-4 boards more than Xception. It is throughout the lane-----it reads the lanes a bit sooner and has VERY close backend reaction to the Xception.
Rick, has this ball caught alot of attention in your YABA leagues?

It will be a good compliment to the Xception because the coverstock is stronger overall and can read what I call med/med oil (step under med/heavy) very well. For those who do not encounter heavier oil, the Angular is a great 1st ball out of bag and then you(oz) can go to the Xception as the shot breaks down.

Yes it has
. In actuality, I bowled a regional adult/jr tourney with my good friend's (bowl400) son and I was asked which one of us was the adult (he was taller)..

The xception for me just skated to much upfront and overreacted on the wet/dry blend i normally bowl on were the Angular reads true and makes it move off the dry harder.

when the shine starts to wear off of a ball usually it causes it to roll earlier thus losing backend. The fact that it is particle will contribute to that once the polish is wearing off in the track area.

Hey jeremy, your wider flare is most likely coming from your personal release to the layout of the ball. It tells me your weightblock is moving towards its psa too quickly which then in turn can become rollout (which explains your dying look). Is this pin on this ball drilled in a leverage position for you? I only tend to see this more when I drill an aggressive ball with a max to high flare pattern. Try it on heavier oil and see if the ball will store better energy for you, right now it sounds more like you're not matching up to enough oil for the ball. I also have not noticed any loss of reaction from my Angular, matter of fact, I have to kill it some just to control the backends at my speed and tilt.

The Angular would fit between the Rule and Xception very well. It is about 3-4 boards stronger throughout the lane. The Rule will roll up quicker and is a few boards stronger than the Angular. I think the three of them would give the better look than adding the Aggressive.
The Aggressive would probably end up being too close to the Rule.
