Arsenal help..
« on: November 22, 2010, 11:44:32 AM »
Right now I have a Virtual Gravity(brought it used but had 6 games on it), Hammer Acid, Emerald Vibe, and plastic. Over the past 2 weeks, I have gotten rid of a Track 607A(didnt match up well with it), Mutant Cell, Black Widow Solid(got it from someone and it was too heavy 16lb), BW Nasty(never impressed with that ball), and a Mission. Im starting brand new and was wondering what gaps do I have in my arsenal? My PAP 5 5/8 & 1 3/4 up and the 1 3/4 up is due to hanging my thumb in the ball a little too long(i fix that problem and need to check my PAP again). I have med-high axis rotation and got about 350-400 rev rate with 18-19 mph ball speed. Im a power stroker, not a tweener or cranker but something inbetween. I like to hook it alot but have the ability to play straight. I kind of like balls that pick up early but finish very well in the backend. I tried alot of Hammer Balls and I only had success in the BW line and Vibe series. I had the original Jigsaw but that ball was hit or miss with me although I shot 2 300's and a 800 with it. I'm liking what Track is doing although the 607A wasnt a good fit for me. Any help is appreciated!!

Track 715T is very similar to the Virtual Gravity (maybe stronger).  505T would be a good step down but may overlap your acid a little.  Emerald Vibe is a good med lane ball, 300C would fit well under that.

On a side note, if you were to get rid of the Acid and make the VG your oil ball (add some surface) the 916AT would be a good benchmark between the VG and the 505T.

I mit get rid of the Acid and the 505T fits the bill as the replacement. Now I threw the 715T and it definitely reminds me of the Virtual. I mit get that ball for another oiler and make the 916 AT as my benchmark ball and maybe add a 300C or a 505A if I can find one. Just need to fill gaps because I plan to bowl some tournaments next year.
