Arsenal Reactive
« on: August 26, 2005, 06:26:24 AM »
I just bought an Arsenal Reactive and I want to know if anyone has thrown one of these. On the track website it says its for medium to oily lanes, at my house I rarely see oily lanes, mostly medium to dry. What kind of reaction will I see on medium conditions? I currently throw an Absolute Inferno and a Velocity. Can I expect the same reaction with the Arsenal reactive? Also what is the best way to clean this ball?

Thank You
J

On the CATS tracking system, the Arsenal Reactive and Absolute Inferno, when having their covers finished identical to each other, had identical reactions on the lanes. So, if you already have the Absolute, what do you think of it. Do you think you could use a little more ball on oil? A little more backend? No sense in drilling the balls close to the same as you will get very close reactions.

Remember, with all these comparisons, a lot depends on exactly how you throw the ball (ball speed, revs, tilt, etc). You may need polish or you may need to sand either ball to get it to react as predicted.

Since the Absolute and the Aresenal Reactive are supposed to be so close, I'm surprised you bought both. They are both good balls so you might strongly consider changing the surface on one of them to insure they react differently: maybe one ot handle mediums and one to handle medium-light, if medium oil is the heaviest you normally see.

What kind of reaction do you see now on mediums with the Absolute?
