Arsenal Reactive Review w/ vids
« on: October 25, 2005, 09:32:55 AM »
Pap – 5 over 3/4 up, rotation 45-50 degrees, speed 14-15, weight 14lbs
Layout 4.5x2.75 with the pin 1.5 above mid line, weight hole 3/4 x 2 1/4 deep 6 and 1/4 inches away slightly above mid line

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=10/29305234629.jpg&s=x10

Here are a couple of vids, the oil was actually pretty thick at 12-13

AR in the oil line - http://media.putfile.com/StrongARinoil
AR with a slight swing - http://media.putfile.com/StrongARswinging

Testing conditions: synthetics heavy 34ft buffed to 42ft, drier between 5-10 with lite hang outside 5

Readability and Hook: This ball reads med to med heavy oil with ease. It offered me a nice mid lane read with a good strong arcing finish on the backend.

In the out of box finish (dull), I got more hook from the ball then expected. Rumors had this ball with the same ball path as an AI from Bruns and I definitely saw more then that. It's about 3-4 boards stronger then that IMHO.

Control: I placed the pin under bridge area for more control for some of our heavier front and drier backend shots and that is exactly what I got, a nice smooth but strong arcing ball.

Hit: The hit is was still very powerful for a ball that arcs smoothly into the pins.

Overall: Very nice ball. With it's lower rg and the rev-ball insert, it does rev up on it's own pretty quickly, looks good going down the lane. This is just a tad under my Rule Delta 1 which offers me a different look on the heavier oil conditions (length and very strong backend). I'd recommend this ball to anyone seeking a stronger reactive cover for medium heavy oil and likes to not have to work to get a good strong reaction.

Can you recomend that ball for someone with a more "powerfull" style then yours? Do you think that ball will work on heavier oil if I put pin to pap 3.3/8? And maybe pin over fingers.
I think i have more revs than you. Se profile for more stast and stuff.

You need to download a plug in for FireFox I presume.  Same might be true for IE.

I got one drilled up a few weeks ago and my style is very similiar to Rick's and our PAP is close: I use mine in OOB condition and keep is cleaned with Clean n Dull because it "shines up" after half a dozen or so games.
Great medium to med-heavy oiler ... gives me a different look after my GP2 and Animal get too strong; I love the way that it holds the inside line, yet SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAMS back from the outside !!!

I have a good amount of revs and fast ball speed.  My arsenal reactive has the pin above the ring clost to the bridge(5" from pap) cg kicked right to 1oz no x-hole.  I also have mine polished like a marble with magic shine.  I can only use this ball on med heavy to heavy oil.  It revs fast and quick.  If you have a good amount of hand I would not put the pin anywhere near leverage(3 3/8) the ball would burn up on you unless you were playing on an xtreme flooded condition with a lot of ball speed.  I just don't think it's a good idea.

Hey azus,

Yes this ball should work fine for you or "anyone" in heavier oil if you have more revs/turn then I do.  The condition when I made the video was actually pretty heavy in the middle and the ball still reacted nicely as you can see.

Nice vids and review Rick.

Mine is drilled similar to yours except the cg isnt kicked out as much.

I have a bit more hand and a tad more ball speed. Mine also gives me a strong arc. Its very nice, but I dont see enough oil to use it at my home center. It will probably be a tournament ball for me.

The Arsenal is surprsing me very much. It has more backend than I thought a low rg ball like this would have, especially with the rev ball. it continues to impress me everytime I use it!

Thanks guys....just trying to help.  I really like visuals, I think it helps a lot vs just talking about something.

Tempo, my Rule Delta 1 vids are in my profile.  I will have more next week of the Solution PP EX and the Solution PP.  I will also try to do some side by side comparisons of our line for you guys so you can decide on how to better complete your personal arsenals.
