GP 2 drilling help
« on: October 24, 2005, 04:10:16 AM »
I've got a GP2 on the way, and I'm looking for some advice. It's mainly going to be my heavy oil conditions ball. I'm wanting to have good hooking power, and drive once it turns. I probably have above average speed and revs.

Most of the drillings on my other stuff is pin above fingers, and the CG kicked out slighty. I wasn't sure if that drilling will still get what I'm looking for, or something different. thanks.

If it is going to be your HEAVY oil ball, drill it strong. I would put the pin about 3-4 inches from your PAP and have the mass bias strong (close to VAL). A weight hole will be needed. Keep the surface factory at the very least.

I can't get the drilling sheets to open up on the Track website. Anywhere else to get them?

Try this link, it is for the original Rule, but the drill sheets are very close, if not the same.

you need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to open the attachment.  Download and install.  It's free.

Hey Fat,

Do you know your pap?  I can offer a more detailed layout because if you have an inverted track or very low tilt, placing the mb by val "may" cause the ball to roll too early and not be as continuous on the backend as you want.  Let us know...

Not sure on the PAP, but my track is about and inch or two from the finger holes and thumb. I don't know if that helps or not.

Hey Fat,

It would be much safer if you can locate your true pap to apply the correct layout to help get your desired reaction.  If you can get that info, I'd be more then happy to help out with a suggestion, thanks.

Fatboy,

I am with Rick on this, please try to get us an actual PAP location so we can help with your layout. With strong asymmetrical equipment the "RULES" are slightly different so PAP is very important to know.
