Good question chi, it varies upon each individual of course. Not only does an individual's speed, tilt, revs affect this, so does the amount of friction the balls can create at the time.
On a blended shot or a shot where friction cannot be created say until after 40 feet, both balls will look very similar. If the lanes are very dry, both balls may pick up too soon and you may still not see much of a difference. Also keep in mind that pin above or below also may change the distance to a bowler's pap, thus causing another difference in overall reaction. A little tough to say bud....wish it were simpler then that.
