Robo-Rule Mini-Review
« on: December 30, 2005, 05:45:38 AM »
Hey FASTTRACKERS,

I'm pretty sure most of you, if not all have got the new Robo-Rule; however, for the ones of you that have not, I bring my first impression/thoughts of the newest ball from the Track High-Performance line. I have only used it for 3 games.

Had this one drilled with a 4 1/2" Pin high, Mass Bias @ 30 degrees and a weight hole 1" past my PAP.

This layout is pretty similar if not identical to my Triton Elite, which is what I was wanting from the beginning. The 4" Pin placement was perfect for the layout also.

I have two words for this ball thus far, smooth and predictable. As far as overall hook, I get more from my Delta 1. The Delta snaps more on the backend for me. With the light load of particle though, this ball helped me achieve a smoother, continuous reaction to the pocket. Will post a full and thorough review after a few weeks of using it! Hope this helps anyone thinking about purchasing one. God Bless you all!

Hey Michael,

It's your 30 degree mb (most likely) that's giving you this smooth look.  If you drilled it at about 60 to 70 degrees, the ball would be much more angular in comparison.  So long as it works for you bud, keep us posted.

I just drilled my second. I really like the Robo. The new one has the pin 4 3/4 from PAP and MB 4 1/2 from PAP. It gets down the lane easier than the other one, but the backend is pretty close with what I got out of my Delta.

Ex.
I'm not sure if you said this or if it was someone else but are you seeing the resemblance to the Unleashed that others are seeing?

I don't see it as close to the Unleashed. It is earlier and more backend in my opinion. I believe it is an all new reaction to the Track family.

Its not like the Unleashed in terms of reaction, but to me, the GP2 and Robo combo is what the Phenom and Unleashed combo did for me.
