My 13 year old has been using my old original 15 lb Black Widow sanded at 500 grit. He averages around 180. He likes to play right up the 10 board and doesn't have an awful lot of hand in it, but he can turn the ball.

In some tournaments, he can't play inside with this at all after the outside is fried. And sometimes during his league, when they break down he can't throw the ball hard enough. I'm betting at 500 grit, there's no energy left for it to come back from inside. We changed it to 1000 last week and it was a tad better for him.

He likes his Hammer, but I'm partial to the way Track has been doing things lately. (Love my 505C) So I was thinking of getting him a more angular ball to go along with the BW. Maybe the 607ASE or the 505A? Maybe go the other way to the 715C?
