This weekend i bowled in tournament where a ballgiveaway winner was also bowling. While getting ready i overheard him telling some people that Del Warren the president of Track personally called him to express interest in him. I couldnt help but laugh. He made up the elaborate story about the whole thing. The best part is he is not that great of a bowler. I have beaten him everytime we are in a tournament together. He averages a little over 200 at what is classically an easy house. He finished about 25 spots under me and i was -170. He thought that a big company has interest in him when no one in his home area knows about him.

So, Please ball winners: do not go around saying that when Del calls you to congratulate you on winning a ball that it is because Track wants to put you on tour. You are not that special. Everyone that wins a ball is getting a call.
