Title: Ball selection
Post by: wer4u2nv on November 01, 2007, 11:19:46 PM
I am trying to decide on a few good balls to get.  I like to play down the boards like straight down the third arrow maybe with a slight swing, then have a nice perdictable move on the backends.  I just dont want a ball that will react to early or to eratic.  I would like one ball that has a smooth predictable move and one thats skid snap.  Looking to cover medium to medium heavy.  What balls would you suggest most?  I do not care what brand they are.  I throw about 16 mphs with medium revs with a lot of forward roll.  I tried a black widow and did not like it at all.  I currently have  turbo diesel and like it a lot but it is dying

Thanks

the Track Temper for smooth and predictable, and the Track Kinetic for your skid/snap piece

I can definately agree with the choices of the Kinetic for skid/flip and The Temper for the smoother earlier rolling medium ball.

Does the Kinetic not handle carry down very well as a few people have reported or does it do as good of job as any ball that does as well as can be expected at handling carrydown?

The Kinetic handles carrydown better than anything I have used. I thought the Power Machine handled carrydown well....this does more through the oil. Ofcourse with a ball that reacts like the Kinetic you have to get around it to find friction to help the ball get through the carrydown, but once it starts its move there is nothing that is going to stop it.
