Rising - First night out
« on: November 01, 2007, 12:27:36 PM »
Well, I couldn't wait to give this ball a try..I had it drilled with the number 1 drilling...  This is the first ball that I can remember being able to use for 3 games and not have to move at all..  Not even a board..  Now, I am a lefty, but 4 out of 10 of us were lefties..  I almost like this ball as much as my Inertia (The most underrated ball ever in my opinion)
The Rising seemed to be able to read the lane condition as it changed and the oil moved down the lane AND adjust on its own on the fly!  I used in in Heavier oil, all the way to a light medium condition and I never had to move... I know, it sounds crazy..  I scored very well, 266, 227, 233.  The ball had an early rev like ball motion with a very nice arching motion to the pocket. Not a snap like reaction.  It was not a ball that would get me into split trouble..

One Concern was that although I scored well, the ball seemed to hit the pins with a thud at times..  Like it hit weak...  BUT the carry was still there.

I love my kinetic.  Man do I wish there were NIB 15 pound Inertias out there because the one I have will never leave my bag...  BUT, the Rising has the potential to out shine them all...  I have people that swore they would never try track again going out and ordering this ball after seeing me use it the other night..  I hope a perl version is soon to follow !

I didn't know leftys ever got to see light medium conditions....All joking aside though sounds like it is a heck of a ball.

I am a lefty too and every house I bowl in people say this is a leftys house. Truth is I wish I could get some of the friction you righties get I am tired of having to throw my ball into a big pool of oil. We complain its too slick and you complain its too dry.

How did you like the NO MERCY BEATN?

I beat Mike all 3 games.
He's drilling up a Rising (after I told him what you and Scott thought about it).

One of the advantages of throwing 14#...they're available...and carry surprisingly well.
