Ball Selections
« on: July 10, 2005, 01:18:40 PM »
Hey guys, just a quick ? for ya.
I plan on having just a 3 ball
arsenal this yr. Right now i have
an Animal Untamed, Revmaster, Dry Heat.
I am getting an Angular in a couple weeks.
Should the Angular replace the AU or
the Revmaster? I have no idea what all
my specs are. Right hander with Maybe med speed,
with med to med. high revs.I like to stand on 25
and throw over 15 with the ball going out
to 7 or somewhere around there. Wood lanes
with a THS just about every week. I havent
had much luck with the revmaster. You know one
of those balls you want to work but just doesnt.
So im hoping the Angular will take its place.
What are your thoughts?

Ragin,

Sorry to hear the Revmaster isn't working out for you. I wish I could have found a 15lber.

I think the Angular is going to be closer to the Revmaster than it is to the Untamed. The Untamed no matter the layout seems to want to roll up much sooner than the Angular or Revmaster ever will. Don't take that the wrong way, the Revmaster with the proper surface will get up pretty good, but with the its OOB surface it will get down the lane decently........close to the Angular. The Angular will have a tad more backend (atleast that is the way it has been for me vs my 16lb Revmaster).

I hope this helps.

Out of box, I totally agree with what Ex said. If you mess with the surface of the Angular (not what it is made for) it will start much earlier ( I have 1 this way and it starts up 3-4 boards more than the factory Angular and they are drileed identical).

Thanks guys. I cant wait till the season
starts so i can roll the Angular. It sounds
like the Peak cover is great.

Hey Ragin,

For me, the Untamed and Revmaster were very similar in reaction.  Both balls having a lower rg design caused them to pull early for me.  I had to polish the Untamed to help it push downlane more but I did also drill the mb at 2.5 which causes that.  The Angular will definitely push downlane easier and further before making it's turn, I think this will be a good look for you because you really don't have that in the bag.

Hey Rick, Thanks for the info man. Yeh i was
hoping the Angular would go down the lane
farther before making its move. My AU does
react rather quick but i love it. Thats why
i was hoping the Angular would be a good
compliment to the AU. Sounds like it will
be a good ball. THANKS
