Need a Track ball to fit in a slot!
« on: January 19, 2006, 08:45:00 AM »
I'm getting a new ball for my Birthday this weekend, and I'm considering getting a Track.  I'm a stroker with medium speed and I like to play up the ten board, but can adjust when necessary.  I'd like it to fit between my V2 Power and Uturn Pearl, and I think I'm leaning towards a solid reactive.  Any recommendations?  I'd also like it to be capable of handling carry down, as I usually start with the V2 Power and need something for when the shot starts to break down.  Thanks!

Slash/Solution PP/Heat Blast...

Slash and Solution would fit in between as they are basically the same ball minus a few slight differences and the Heat Blast is brand new..I will be drilling mine tonight and report how it works tomorrow!

What about the AR?  According to the "perfect scale" at bowlingball.com it should fit between the V2 Power and the UTP.  It has the Slash actually rated lower in hook potential than the UTP.

splendorlex,

The Arsenal Reactive is probably going to be stronger than the V2 Power....however it does take well to coverstock adjustments. With a tad of MAGIC SHINE added to the surface the Arsenal Reactive can handle carrydown very well.

I guess I could get more specific as well.  I'd actually like something that will just get down the lane further than the V2 Power with a strong move.  I've tried a Smokin Inferno thinking it would be just the ticket, but I can hardly get it to wrinkle on anything heavier than light-medium.  When does the AR get most of its hook?  Does it conserve a lot, or does it have more of a midlane and a strong backend like the V2 Power?

With the AR's OOB finish it gets good midlane and backend.

With an adjustment....like light polish it would get more length and very good backend.

I would have to say the AR would work great after watching Excaliber take his from OOB when he first drilled it up to having me hit it with magic shine and seeing him go to it in the third game when his delta was reving to early and hooking left early. So i would have to say that the AR might work..
