Best Track Ball of All Time
« on: May 20, 2010, 02:01:17 AM »
Just curious as to how the new Track is matching up with the old Track. If you had to choose one Track ball, what would it be.

I would have to say the Kinetic. My brother says the Freak A Zoid. I like several of the newer releases, but don't feel that they are as good as many of the older releases.

Meant to add early my brother had a kinetic pearl that rolled really well. I had a Tantrum that didn't.

For me comparing new to old isn't possible. From what I've seen it is a completely different company with completely different cores and covers. It is Track in name only.

If I were going to buy from the Ebonite family I would go with the Hammer equipment. Thrown a lot, and it seems to be the most versatile and some of the best overall product I've thrown in a while. Saw the new releases in action tonight and that look impressive.

For me, my faves were the Triton Heat, Elite Pearl, Critical Mass, and the Code Red.

Mutant. Hands down.

The Freak and Super Freak were damn good. So was the original Rule. Now that I think of it. Track has some of the best damn equipment before being bought out

My current arsenal includes:
Columbia 300: Perfect Rival, Action Attack
Hammer: Jigsaw, No Mercy
Storm: Reign, Natural (best ball ever)
Nu-Line: The Gauntlet (my favorite)
AMF: The Heist
Insite: Revelations

Without a doubt it would be the Triton Heat. 505A is on its way and may be the best some time down the road.

I've only had the fortune of trying the UpRising and Rising SE.  I've found two more UpRisings and am on the prowl for an SE to add to the fleet.  Those pills are really something special.  They've orphaned a LOT of balls in the arsenal that I really liked prior to my first UpRising purchase some three months ago.

I think it would be easier to just give my list of balls from track I hated, rather then name the ones I really like.

Interesting that not nearly as many mentions of the newer stuff. 505a and 505c seem seem to get a little love.
