Looking to build a Track arsenal
« on: September 18, 2005, 04:15:04 AM »
I currently have a GP2 and a Desert Heat. I am looking for a ball or two to go right in between these 2 balls I already own. I currently have am Absoulte Inferno that I use between them but, I like the way it complements the GP2 but I feel there is still a gap between the Absolute and the Desert Heat. I am looking to replace the Absolute so I feel I may need two balls.   Any suggestions?

You mentioned adding something in there, what would you suggest?

Welcome to Track!

Here is what I suggest:

GP2
Delta 1
Slash
Xception 5.0
Heat
Desert Heat

MANY other possibilities exist though as well.

Would the Arsenal Angular be a good alternative to the Exception 5.0 or the Slash?

Sounds like an Xception 5.0 is in my future!!!! How will it rate to my current Absolute Inferno in terms of versatility? That is the ball I am looking to replace with the 5.0

Hey slopsurprise,

There's quite a gap between your AI and Desert.  You could actually fill a couple of balls in there.  I like the Solution EX or Xception just below it and the Heat between that and the Desert.

The 5.0 is also a good replacement for the AI, along with an Arsenal Reactive (with a mild drill or cover adjustment).  Hope this helps...

I was thinking the same thing about there being a gap between the current (AI) soon to be Xception 5.0 and the desert heat. Thank you for the help.

I would do this.
gp2
arsenal reactive
xception
desert heat

The arsenal reactive is a massivly strong ball.  I put magic shine polish on mine so I could use it on med to med/heavy.  With the OOB cover the ball would be a heavy oil ball.

I know my local pro shop occasionaly gets balls they were used for testing that have been plugged nicely and have low games on them. Does anyone know if any of these balls might be able to be had in this fashion from anywhere? Needless to say, I would like to save money if at all possible.

I know I am full of questions and I thank everyone for their help. I have another question if I may, I have a leed on a Track Threat, Track Thrash, and an Animal Untamed. How would they maybe fit in to my arsenal and how would they compare to the xception 5.0, Xception, and heat that have been suggested?

The reason I am asking is becase I can pick them up used for killer prices.
