Hear are 3 quick vids I shot last night. I apologize for the quality, my camera is not as good as my mothers. I had X5.0 and Heat videos too but my connection timed out last night uploading them so I'll do those tonight. Hopefully next week I'll get hold of my mother's camera and post better videos. These at least give you a good idea of the reaction.
Here's the layouts:

http://home.comcast.net/~anthonychapman/heat_x50.jpg
Desert Heat: The hit is awesome and I was about 3-4 right than the Heat with the pin on the center line and look how strongly the Desert is drilled. It's really smooth and so clean. It allows me to stay right and take advantage of the track area and carry.
http://home.comcast.net/~anthonychapman/desert_heat.avi 3.3M
http://home.comcast.net/~anthonychapman/desert_heat1.avi 3.2M
Blue Heat: I was about 9 left and 4 at the arrows than the Desert and about 4 left and 2 than the Heat. There's a piece of tape to show the flare. The pin's 5 1/2" from the pap. I had an identically drilled Agressive that I could get about 2 more further left and a little further right at the break. Sorry about the size, my mother fell alseep at the camera ;-)

Heat: This is the weaker of the two Heats, drilled like the Blue and the Agressive.
http://home.comcast.net/~anthonychapman/heat.avi
X5.0: I had to get the deepest and had the most room right with this ball. I seem to have unlimited right!

Edited to add Heat and X5.0 vids.

How were the lanes oiled?? The Desert has a real nice smooth look to it. I wanna pick one up to replace my Barrage. I just hope the Desert is as weak as the Barrage.
The Blue is very smooth as well but obviously needs more oil to work. It reacts real similar to my Mutant Mania, maybe just a tad longer.
Very nice vids, cant wait til they hit shops!!

Rock, the Blue and Aggressive definitely needed more oil (these were taped at 9:30 at night). But that's the great thing about Track's particle, you can still continue to play with them and chase the oil in and they still hit. If I'm not mistaken, the Mutan Mania had the Sheer Havoc cover so that's a good call about reaction as the Blue has a similar look to a sanded Sheer.
I don't know the specifics, but this house is very tapered side to side and front to back. It allows lots of angles and surfaces to be used (I've used everything from a GP2 to a Desert Heat). As the night goes on, the track becomes more dominant and carrydown becomes an issue with carry.
I want to get to another few houses with hopefully more oil. But it's summer time and you would think oil is a precious commodity around here.

achappy, you are correct. The Mutant Mania has the Sheer Havoc cover around a Mutant core. Nice smooth midlane with some pop on the backend.
After seeing the vids and knowing how they react, I definately have to get a Desert Heat.

Hey achappy-
Nice vids..
I can never get my balls to hook like that. Can I get some lessons
--------------------
Did they run the oil machine? Was there any oil in it.....
-
achappy, the Heat seems pretty snappy on the backend, eh?!?
I thought it was a bit more tame like the desert just reacted earlier, I guess I was wrong.
The 5.0 is sick!! That ball has some angle and carry. That messenger took out the 10 in a hurry!!
Love the vids, now I have to go buys some new balls!!

Rock77,
That Heat is a little strong downlane. That's because of the long pin to PAP distance (5 1/2) and the lower flare. It's very clean and then really starts to flare the last 15-20 feet so it's good for late blocks and playing deep. That's why I drilled up the other Heat, stronger pin (4 1/2) with huge hole on VAL. That's about 3-4 stronger but much earlier read and smoother. So now all 3 Heats really compliment each other.
The X5.0 should've been called the Beast 5.0
. That's how strong that ball is but it reads much better than the Xception.

hector: I can't wait....2 more weeks till fun and sun! The Desert Heat will be with me as well as another Heat and X5.0. Still trying to work out the other balls since I'm only bringing 5. Hopefully you guys haven't burned them up by the time we bowl

bighook69: sorry, these were just the vids that I took last night that I wasn't able to post. As soon as I can get hold of a better camera, I'll post an Aggressive video for comparison.
AUS: I'm not a big fan of flare, especially in the early parts of the lane. Just too early and harder to control for the types of conditions I see. So that layout gives me good length with flare in the middle to end. It's hard to tell in the Blue Heat video, but the tape on the axis is very stable the first 15-20ft before really migrating.

Nice vids! The Desert Heat looks pretty tame (even if it has a higher flare drill) compared to the Heat! That X 5.0 is a pretty ball...gotta love those messengers, heheh
.
I really liked the camera angle of your GP2 videos from a while back, do you think it would be possible to take some vids from the same angle as the following vid?

Thanks for the awesome vids!

If he did that, we wouldn't be able to see the lane!!..
-
Hehe, man you guys are too much.
Hey I just saved Anthony's videos and slo-mo'd them with Quick Time.
Here are my findings from what I saw in the videos! Disclaimer: These numbers are approximate as I didn't use a magnifying glass, I just eyeballed the videos on Pause and Slo-Mo hehe. Those pathfinder marks on the lane (10 and 15 board on the right side sure make it easier to read!)
Heat
At The Arrows = 19 Board
Breakpoint = 10 Board
9 Boards Crossed!
Desert Heat
At The Arrows = 17 Board
Breakpoint = 6 Board
11 Boards Crossed!
Blue Heat
At The Arrows = 20 Board
Breakpoint = 6 Board
14 Boards Crossed!
Xception 5.0
At The Arrows = 22 Board
Breakpoint = 5 Board
17 Boards Crossed!
Wow, these videos were helpful Anthony. The heat definately showed us that you can play the ball straighter but still cover some boards. The Desert Heat looks a tad stronger and can be bellied just a tad more than the Heat. The Blue Heat seems to be the Separation maker as it crosses 5 more boards than the Heat and 3 more than the Desert Heat. Man, the Blue Heat looks pretty fresh and looks to be a nice possible Benchmark. Now the Xception 5.0 is just plain sick. You had the world with this ball crossing approximately 17 boards.
Man, those Pin under Bridge/Ring layouts really smooth out the backend. I'm starting to become a fan of it!
Thanks again for the vids and I hope my Video Findings help everyone out as well...

You do want to see the balls right?
This is ballreviews, not Sea World
ice:
Hopefully once I get hold of the camera that I used for that vid I will post some at better angles and clearer.
Ramtart:
That's excellent analysis and really helpful! The Desert Heat seems like it's stronger than the Heat because I HAD to belly it. It really needed the friction to turn the corner. If you look down in the lower left hand corner of the Heat video, you can see that I'm about 4 boards left than the Desert and had to keep it tighter (this Heat really turns the corner when it hits friction).
Guys, I really hope you like the videos and hopefully it helps you see what the balls are capable of and how they react nicely as an arsenal.
