Phoenix still mass produced?
« on: February 09, 2007, 05:29:23 AM »
With Track being bought up by Ebonite do you guys think the Phoenix will still produced in large numbers or will it be discontinued when Columbia's plant closes up shop in April? Thanks for the responses in advance.

Well...I don't think anyone knows for sure. However, newguy has said on here there are a few thousand in the warehouse right now. By the same token, I have a friend, and Rock77 on here have said their preorders have been cancelled for them AND Bowlersparadise has removed the Phoenix from its challenge vs the Alien....SO...thats all I have to go on.

Like I have already said, if anyone thinks they will weant this ball, let it be known now to Ebonite before they decide to not release the ball or whatever may happen to it.

At least put production on hold or something. Don't cancel production. Dang. I wanted one!

Yeah, it does suck that everyone gets there hopes up for the new release, but then the Ebonite takeover happens, and nips it in the bud. Kinda like the HEX DARKSIDE of years past. I really can't comment on what I think of the ball itself, the only time I have seen it is in Carl's vid. Everyone just be patient. Maybe they'll continue once get things organized. Heck, I placed closeout orders almost 2 weeks ago, all of them are on hold now until Ebonite get to inventory everything. If worse comes to worse, they'll release it overseas, or to bowlingball.com or something, and you'll still be able to find a few that way!

I can tell you this. There where not very many on the PBA truck today.. They had only a few.. Wes was using it in the round of 16 and the ball looked pretty good..
