I was bowling last night on the new AMF HPL lanes that my house is in process of puting in. They have lanes 1-6 done so I was able to bowl on 3 and 4.
In any case, I was trying out all of my equipment on the new lanes. After putting my GP2 in the bag, I noticed that the bridge is cracked. I told the pro shop and he told me to just leave it. Meaning that unless it gets worse, dont mess with it. It's only a small crack now, but it could get worse. My question is have any of you had similar problems with your GP2?? In addition to that, if I contact Track, will they honor a warranty and replace the ball??
The ball is like new. I have only put about 3-5 games on it, but have had it since it was released. What do you guys think??

Rock,
Give them a call bud. They will try to make it correct for you.
I have alot of games on a couple of my GP2s, no cracking......and no cracking in any that I have drilled. Were the finger holes properly beveled?

I have had bridges on Track and Columbia Balls crack on the press!
Yes I drilled them at least 1/4" wide. In the past they have honored the warranty.

I know many people who had problems with the bridge cracking on the regular RULE. I agree, for now just leave it. If in a few days it gets worse, then bring it back and the pro shop owner should replace it for you.

I have not had any Track balls crack on me in the last couple of years, for myself or my customers. However, I will say this again, when I was working in my former shop, the owner/manager punched out balls with lightning speed (Ex can vouch for this) and I saw lots of cracking, mainly from drilling too fast and the holes heating up way too much which can cause stress and expansion on the ball.

I have never had a Track ball crack on me yet, (knock on wood) but I had 3 Brunswick balls crack on me in the 1995-1997 era.

Ok, new problem. I contacted Track and they said to take it back to the pro shop or dealer I purchased it from. What if I purchased the ball from a user on this site who was selling them NIB??
