BTM screwed up on there ball of the year poll.

BTM has there vote of rball of the year poll up on there site.  They made a mistake with the arsenal reactive.  They are calling it a reactive pearl.  This is not true.  The AR is a reactive solid.

Take a look at the different balls that the AR is up against.  Not even a comparison with respect to the covers.  I have a Raw hammer Doom and an AR.  The Doom is a pearl reactive and the AR is a solid.  

BTM messed up.  Maybe some of the Track crew can contact BTM about this.  I sent them a message and hope you guys will do the same.

That is a touchy area.......because the AR is solid/pearl blend. I do not believe they have a solid/pearl blend category.

Ex your correct with respect to the color additive right?  That is the only part of the ball that is pearl.  I don't feel that this ball should be paired up with a Hammer Doom which is a true pearl ball.

We all know that the AR comes dull in it's box condition.  I have never seen a pearl ball dull from the factory in it's box condition.  I feel the AR should have been put into the solid catergory.  If you put it in the solid catergory I feel it wins out right.

Those categories are so bogus, in any case.

There should be 6 categories:

particle       resin
--------       -----
early roll     early roll
skid/flip      skid/flip
control        control


Given that ball reaction, the true measure of a ball, is the deciding factor in ALL cases, any other categorization is futile and purposeless. Notice I also do not reference price at all.

Well, to complicate matters more, the poll listed each of the Columbia Action, Dynothane Centrifugal Mass and High energy, and RotoGrip Silver Streak SE in the Reactive Solid categories. All of them, like the AR, are solid/pearl blends.

Of course, in a clear mistake (rather than just questionable judgment), they put the Morich Seek & Destroy, which is solid particle, in the Reactive Pearl category.

Really would be better to have reaction shape categories, perhaps even coupled with overall hook ratings or intended oil conditions.
