Arsenal issues
« on: January 17, 2014, 05:04:38 PM »
Ok, so here is the dilly...  I am looking to fill a few holes in my arsenal, but every time i look into a ball, and think about the stuff I have now.. I find myself thinking I will just be overlapping balls.

right now I have a  920t x 2, one is pin up and drilled to roll early, the other is pin down, i have a 811ASE, 811c/t both are pin up, 508a is drilled rico, 400ASE is pin up, 300t is a Kamino drill lol but it works on so many different oil patterns, 300c pearl is pin up, 300c solid is rico, I do have a 300A but rarely use it cuz the ball just goes straight lol...  And I have two 505a's one is pin up and one pin down, both drilled to roll early.. And lol I have a Hammer Arson Low flare ......

Now I've been looking at a platinum ringer, but am not sure if i actually need it, Since I can always have my 300A, plugged n redrilled....I've also been looking at something like a 503T or something midrange...   but not sure if i need it since, my Arson low flare can handle that range...

but anyways, enough of my long winded post...

I can understand the overlapping however at the same time you have many options to go with on each lane condition.  Have you tried playing around with the surface of the bowling balls?  Also are you trying to fill the gap for a lane condition, ball roll(and reaction) to much or to little.  When you get a chance check out the trackbowling.com website the brand is changing in many ways.

yea, i thought about that, ever since i posted this up..

i sometimes over think a lot of stuff, and dont actually look at what i have...

heck i even forgot to mention my 919c lol...

and honestly after looking at my stuff last night, i think if i just did a couple surface adjustments with a couple balls, i'll be pretty set..  I think i kind of get stuck thinking i need to get something like a 503T or 700 series ball.. when i dont really need them..  i mean ya, if i bowled more on kegel challenge patterns or sport patterns, then i might need a 503t or 700 series ball..    but i only bowl on sport shot patterns maybe once or twice a month.

I would keep doing what you are doing, you love to bowl and with your arsenal you are able to hit almost everything when you add different hand positions speed adjustments and ball surface changes (as we previously mentioned) your going to see different reactions.  I would stick with what you have and when you see a void that needs to be filled then you you will have a much better idea of what you are looking for.  When you get a chance please check out the track recommendation tool however before doing so I will strongly suggest you go to your local pro shop and ask for assistance with getting your Rev Rate, Tilt, Axis Rotation and Ball Speed (as close as you can get to accurate).
