Title: CleanNDull vs. CleanNTacky
Post by: erh300 on January 16, 2006, 11:42:26 PM
What is the difference between Clean N Dull and Clean N Tacky? The descriptions I have read are virtually the same. Is there a distinct difference? Thanks for the help.

If I remember right, Clean n Tacky is taking the place of Clean n Dull.

Clint's correct.  Same stuff...Different color.  Name changed to change perception that the product 'dulls' balls.  Right from the source(s) in San Antonio....

Clean n Dull and Clean n Tacky both clean equipment the same. THERE IS NOTHING BETTER ON THE MARKET FOR CLEANING A BOWLING BALL.

The distinct difference has been mentioned....the smell. Clean n Tacky smells much better.

Why is Clean N' Tacky under the:
quote:
THESE PRODUCTS CONTAIN SOLIDS OR ABRASIVES AND, ALTHOUGH THEY MAY NOT ALTER THE SURFACE HARDNESS OF A BOWLING BALL, CANNOT BE USED DURING USBC certified COMPETITION BECAUSE IT WOULD BE IN VIOLATION OF RULE 18. HOWEVER, THESE PRODUCTS ARE ALLOWED BEFORE OR AFTER LEAGUE AND/OR TOURNAMENT SESSIONS.

while Clean N' Dull is acceptable during certified competition?

Clean n Dull is scented....it just smells really bad

Ice,

I asked the same question and was told that they are the same formula and that they are going to approach USBC and work harder to get it certified during competition.

There is no real big differance between the two other then the smell and that clean n tacky seems to be thicker.

Just to note clean n tacky smells like toothpast. Clean n dull smells like lemon pinesole. Hey carl I liked the smell of clean n dull. It makes me think of bowling not brushing my teeth. "During this post I was cleaning my Animal and Crash just to let you know." lol

I love the way CND smells. I'm not looking foward to the new spearmint smell. If I wanted artificial smells added to my equipment...I would use storm.
