Using the 920T on Heavy Oil?
« on: July 10, 2010, 12:37:58 AM »
I going to order the 920T this weekend and I wanted to see if anyone have tried it on longer, heavy oil like the Shark or Route 66 patterns with a different surface? Right now I'm replacing my NVD that I use for those shots but would like to use the 920T on those as well without having to buy another strong like the 930T or TR2.  On the heavy oil, I play it straight up the 10-12 board but on my ball release I like to be about 4 feet away from the foul line (much further away from my normal approach). I'm still planning to use my 920T for THS as my primary goal but would also like to use it for those tough patterns for tournaments.

Personally I have yet to throw the 920T on a ton of oil yet. But it can definitely handle its share. For you to really use it on shark, change the surface to 2000. If that isn't enough go to 1000. This cover has a ton of room for adjustment. The 920T is pretty strong, and will fit what you are looking for.

So far for me on the shark the 920t has been my go to ball and I usually start the suface at 1k abralon.  The 930t did well for me too but the 920t is much more continuous.

1000 was what I was planning to use on it since I also have that same surface on the NVD. Plus from what I've been told the 930T burns up energy very quickly and rolly.
