Title: Comparable to Brunswick Red Fuze?
Post by: BRAMBO32 on June 08, 2004, 04:34:34 AM
My favorite ball currently in the bag is my Raging Red Fuze from Brunswick. It's drilled with the pin underneath the ring finger and the cg stacked below it. I love the reaction I get out of this ball, very clean through the heads, and a very smooth, strong backend. The only problem I have with the ball is that it doesn't cut it when there's heavier amounts of oil out. I've been reading quite a bit about the Animal and the Animal Untamed and think one of these two balls might accomplish what I'm looking for, which is something that will rev up a little bit earlier than my Fuze, with the same strong controlled backend. Drilling suggestions are welcome as well. Thanks in advance.

Perfect solution to your problem is either a Fuze Eliminator or Fuze Detonator.

I have a friend who has Red Fuze and he says Detonator is just like Red but starts earlier!

Great ball.

I have one!

I was going to disagree, but now that I think about it, the Detonator is pretty close.  It's earlier and smoother, but they're both predictable like you wouldn't believe.  I'd say the CLOSEST would be a Cherry Bomb, however.

Hammy,

I was not trying to pick a ball close to Red Fuze, but similar movement just Earlier.

I think Brunswick's own literature basically says it is an earlier Red Fuze.

I think he might be asking for a ball that is currently available.

Maybe I read it wrong!

Hey Brandon,

The Animal Untamed and the Animal can both fit the bill depending upon the drilling.

You can drill an Animal with the pin under and have the mb placed towards or on val to help create a smoother backend but you may have to put a lite polish on it to help it go down the lane some.

You can also drill an Untamed fairly similar to your RRF(mb in strong pos) and this ball should give you the same reaction but should have an overall stronger look.  This ball by nature is more aggressive then your RRF.  Feel free to pm me if you want details on a personal layout, thanks.
