I wanted to get some input on the subject of having a cracked ball. I rolled the ball down the lane about four times and when it returned for the last time I noticed a crack from the weight hole going about five inches out. The ball was not cold because it was kept inside the house. My question is once a ball gets cracked is that total death for bowling ball ? Or can it be repaired ? Thanks

From what you described, it's dead.
How old is the ball?

I just talked to a guy at a proshop and he said that it was repairable. Thank you for your input. For $15 I think I will give it a shot.

It's not all the way to the filler. Have you had any cracked balls repaired ? If so were you happy with the results.

Yes, I had an Original Inferno that had a small crack in it. Had the crack stop drilled at both ends and filled. Couple of weeks later, I shoot my highest series ever with it.
If the shop guy says he can repair it, and it seems worth the time and effort to you, then by all means, let him try. If it ends up not working, all you've invested is $15.

Thanks. I hope when I get it back I shot something really big.
