here we go again.i was bowling last nite bowled 5 frames and ball cracked.this is the 4th track ball and had hammer crack.before you haters start having excuces.let me say my ball driller is palmer fellgren.the bowling balls are put in a sling and put in my bag.i bowl for the league 3 games clean my bowling balls then put back in my bag.i take them in my house when i go home.my house is cooled ac between 76 to 78 degrees all year long.the are not kept in the closet or shed no basement or attic.if you say it is from the superglue i dont buy it.you can glue the space shuttle together.than track(ebonite) since they really own all companies should come up with a specail glue for grips that has a special color so they can tell it is theres.that way if there is a problem they can give another excuse.they can make a ball for any condition why cant they make a ball last more than 8 months or so.wait thats probally all the longer the warranty is go money maker.they pay endorsements give the pros all kind of balls for them why cant they just make a better quality ball.more advertising money cheaper labor make more bowling balls faster how just about a better quality product.i understand if you make a thousand you going to have some problems.i am not going to really bad mouth track.i have bought 9 in the last 4 years.but they keep cracking why.the se didnt even have70 games.i really like the way they roll and hit but this is not good.i am not looking for a free hand out but this is rediculous.am am not going to buy any more track products and that was a shame because i was going to buy the 5 7 9 series but not now.if a rep wannts to email my email is
rlzorch@comcast.net or they can email me and they can talk to palmer i will give them the number.i might go back to track one day when they get ther act together.and for a better note i was just about the only one in my house that really liked track or threw track.the other track balls was the kinetic (2) of them a kinetic energy which was my all time favorite ball of all time. and now my se.and a widow pearl.

i have had one ball out of close to 40 balls crack on me, and it was due to the driller making the bridge too narrow.  You just have crappy luck dude.  Currently i own 5 track balls, all except one being post ebonite buyout, and i haven't had a single problem with any of them

How did your ball crack?
Was it through the fingers or thumb?
Do you use a thumb slug?
How many games were on the ball?

It sounds like you take care of your stuff, but there are other factors that can affect longevity and durability.

I'm trying to piece together (no pun intended) the facts and try to come up with a good sound theory for this problem, as it does not necessarily seem to be manufacturer specific.

I have one drilled once with the thumb moved a little, 75  plus shipping and it is yours only has aboutn 20 games on it.

this ball cracked from the right finger out 4 or 5 inches.there was no superglue near the area.no thumb slug was used.my one kinetic energy cracked around the ball from the slug.my kinetic 1st one all the way around ball.second kinetic from thumb to thumb no slug.my hammer from finger all the way around.they seem to crack for i guess no reason.seems if you bowl with them then let them set for 2 or 3 weeks then bowl thats when they crack.i just think i have bad luck or they are just bad ball handling  from outer space[haha].i am going to talk to the man fig tommorow.he left me his cell phone number.at least he reads tis board and took action right away.i really comend him for that

to all those in track forum.first of all i must apoligize for my post.i posted the message in  a fit of anger. i posted this and the next day fig the man emailed me.i left him a email saturday gave number last nite he called me today as promised.i must say that it is refreshing to know that track people check their posts in here.so if you have a problem with track please email the man fig and he will help you.i must apoligize for this.when you get mad sometimes think before you speak.as for the bowling ball issue we seem not to have a clear cut answer.but i will check everything and keep  the man up to speed on the rest of my track equipment.
