What is the huge difference between these two balls besides one being a pearl and the other a solid. The RG's are really close and the differential the same. Is there a big significant difference in the Power Plus Reactive and Power Plus EX Reactive?
I haven't thrown Track in 2 or 3 years. I am interested in these two.
Do these two complement each other on certain conditions?

Crunchtime is a pearl; Crash is a solid/pearl combination. It is not a solid.
I've had both; got rid of the Crash; bought a 2nd Crunchtime, to be drilled differently.
Crunchtime goes slightly longer with less flip, more even move at the backend.
The Crash's hitting power is average (almost mediocre) compared to the CT's above average pin moving power (similar drills and pin-CG distance). The CT also hooks more overall. Both handle similar amounts of oil, with the CT "apparently" handling slightly more.
This is with the box surface unchanged, on both balls.
I think a lot of this has to do with the very special (but plain looking core in the CT. I've liked almost every ball that Track has made with this core, even when I haven't owned it personally.
The Crash's core worked great in the Mojo and the VooDoo. I wish the Crash had the Titanium center nuggest like the Messenger Ti Series does/did. That might have made a big difference to the Crash.

In a direct comparison I think the Crunch Time hooks more, but rolls slightly sooner than the Crash. I agree with charlest that the CrunchTime definately hits harder and has more "scouts" on the pin deck afterwards.
The Crash, for me, is alot like the Messenger TI solid. A very good skid/flip reaction, strong at the pins, just not quite what the Crunch Time is.
Overall I like the CrunchTime, it can me used on almost every condition. It cannot be used on the heavy stuff or the drier stuff, but it will cover just about everything in between.

Thanks guys for the explanation. Since they are similar, I probably go try out the Crunch Time. Watching Walter Ray Willaims use it at the Masters and 2 other PBA events looked impressive. I've had the original Messenger Titanium. It was a great Ball.
What would be a good ball under the Crunch Time when the lanes start to burn up?
-
When the CrunchTime gets too strong I like using the Crash (polished with delayed reaction to tame it down a bit). The Dry Heat would be another good choice.

Hey Jonathan,
Can't say anything more, I agree with Ex completely. Hope this helps some...

If i use a 4 x 4 pattern on the Crunch Time and a 5 x 5 or 6 x 5 on a Crash would that be a good combo.
Does the Crash work on Burn Heads or would a Dry Heat be better? I am thinking or assuming a dry heat and a crunch time would be too big of a gap. Which would be better Compliment?
Rick or Ex for sugestions?

Hey Jonathan,
What's your pap? It would really help to know before suggesting a layout.
The Dry Heat to me will clear the heads a little better then the Crash. The main difference between the 2 balls here are the backend reaction, the Dry Heat will be smoother then the Crash in the backend with all things being said equal.
Both balls will still react on drier conditions. Hope this helps...

Your PAP would certianly help as far as suggestions on layouts. Let us know.
I totally agree with Rick as far as the difference between the Crash and the Dry Heat. If polished as I stated previously the Crash will clear the heads equal to the Dry Heat, but there will still be a difference on the backends. The Crash will have better recovery and be able to handle the lanes more if the backends get spotty.

Crunchtime has great carry and is very conistent on any oil pattern i shot a 298 yesterday with it i have been using it for 4 months and have had my top 5 highest scores with 4 of them being in the 280s with the 298 and my average has rose 10 pins. i had the crash too but it was to unpredictable wiht its hard skid snap reaction so i would get 3 or 4 in a row and then it would just take off and leave a split, crunch just is more consistent for how i roll the ball, good luck
