Well I drilled this one up and it is surfaced at 600 drilled stack pin cutting top of ring finger.
This ball makes a nice move to the pocket and ping 10 pins all day flat to the channel or slow 10's.
Strange look though. Normally when I see this I see the ball is driving the 3 pin back kicking the 6 out in front of the 10 and ball is slapping the 9 in the face. This one drives to take out the 8 but still drives the 3 back.
I will experiment with the cover some more and see how it goes. I still shot a respectable set with it in the 600's
I may add a little polish to it.

Update
I polished this ball and it does get through the heads better but still not rolling that well. It still stands up too quickly on a fresh shot with plenty f head oil. About the only line I was able to play was an inside tight line. 4th arrow out to about 14 board at the breakpoint.
Next step plug and redrill with MB closer to track.

the crunch doesnt have a MB

--------------------
it doesn't take an average to win in match play!

I know that the Crunch does not have a marked mass bias. However most balls inherently have a mass bias and moving that inherently will make some change in ball reaction though not as great as a ball with a strong mass bias.

bowldoc4u - Wouldn't that cause the ball to get into an earlier roll?
I need the ball to retain axis rotation longer and go longer before it stands up.

Jabroni - I just went back through someone else's drill. Since it was stacked I thought that I could get soem length out of it. It starts to stand up at the arrows. I hardly think that is midlane.
If I can get the ball to go longer before it stand s up great otherwise it's going to be a heavy oil ball only. Medium it's not at least for me. Not unless I become a chuck and dumper or fluff it.

Jabroni - I wouldn't say that I come up the back of the ball. I usually have about 50-60 debrees of axis rotation. I can vary the amount of rotation whenever I want to. I do have low axis tilt. This causes the ball to stand up too quickly on the oil patterns we have out here.
I can get in deep but this ball still stands up too quickly. I think that I will just have to plug it or get rid of it.
