Legion Solid
« on: December 09, 2016, 11:45:32 AM »
Seems like this ball is being used quite a bit at tournaments by staffers. Does this have IQ Tour Solid potential in terms of being "that" ball for Track like the IQ solid became "that" ball for Storm.

"That" = super predictable tournament Swiss Army knife.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III
Trend
IQ Tour

I've thrown both the IQ Tour Solid and the Legion Solid, both with similar layouts.  I would say the Legion Solid definitely has that potential, but that is just my opinion.  I've found it to be a stronger earlier IQ Tour Solid.
Current 'go-to's:
- Badger Infused 50 x 5 x 30
- Truth Tour 70 x 4 x 70
- Black Widow Gold 35 x 5 x 30
- Eon 70 x 4 x 70

Coming soon:
Volt, Hyroad Nano, Flux

I think Track's intent was for the TourSic to be their version of the IQ Tour. I found the TourSic to be longer and slightly more angular downlane than the IQ Tour, which makes sense given the TourSic's higher RG. I also found it to be less forgiving of operator error. In any case, while I'm not sure that Track intended the Legion Solid to be their IQ Tour-type ball, it certainly seems to be filling that role.

I have several GB2
I have my Legion solid with same layout as 1 of my GB2
pin in middle finger which is 5" pin-pap
the Legion is longer, and very predictable, definitely stronger
Mitch Beasley recommended it before NATS last year and he did mention it again last week as a go to piece for 1 of the patterns where he made the cut
Both are solids
both are 2000 from factory
gb2 is symmetrical
Legion is asymmetrical
