Delta 1
« on: September 29, 2006, 02:20:04 AM »
I see an lot of "blem" or "second" Delta 1's on eBay. Lots of you here have rated the Delta 1 pretty high on your "worst ball ever" list. Personally, I like mine. I see in the Track forum that a lot of you like yours. What gives? Kind of like a jekyll and hyde thing? Why so many "blems" of this ball are available? I guess pro shop guys would know best. Just curious......

For me, the Delta was a very good ball....for many people, it was a good ball. However, due to the colors, sometimes it was difficult to read what it was doing down lane.

As for 2nds/blems, my buddy shipped me a 16# he bought off of ebay, to me, it was a 2nd ONLY due to the cg being kicked also even with the pin about 2 inches to the right of the pin....other than that, top was good, color was good....

i have 2 delta1 2nds, both are mismarked cg's..barely. less than 1/4in. mine also has white labels, my friends has colored labels. both work great. both have layouts you couldnt put on a 1st quality ball. thats part of the fun of 2nds.

The Delta 1 is one fo the worst balls I have ever owned!  This ball just didn't carry well and left a lot of weird splits.

Now I have had many other bowling balls that hit and carry a lot better than the Delta 1 did.

Now compare the Delta 1 to the arsenal angular when it comes to hit and carry.  The Angular makes the Delta 1 look like a marshmellow.

so far we have no problems with the deltas, especially hit. maybe it just didnt match up well with you. could have been several factors. i love mine. and my friend liked how it worked for me so much that he got one too with the same layout.

I have no issues with mine what so ever.  One of the hardest hitting balls in my bag.  Very rarely get to use her though due to lack of oil.

I love my Delta, might be the hardest hitting Track ball I've ever had.
