Big Rig VS A. Reactive
« on: September 15, 2005, 04:07:26 AM »
Well, I was able to throw a friends Fired Up and Big Rig last night before League. I was impressed with the Fired Up's length, but I was more impressed with the Big Rig's carry and arc motion. Since the Big Rig has a fairly low RG, like the new Aresenal Reactive, how would these match up? Are they similar? I thought the Big Rig would not have any length to it due to the low RG, especially for the way I throw the ball, but I was wrong. The ball went almost as long as the Fired Up on the same condition. It breaks a few feet earlier, but not much. I have not seen an A. Reactive in my house yet, so I was just trying to make some comparisons.

I drilled a Big Rig for an employee at the bowling alley, and he loves it. He is nowhere close to my span and pitches, so we can't compare each others equipment, which is unfortunate. His Big is set up pin above ring, cg in palm, factory surface. My Reactive is set up pin under ring, cg in palm, factory surface. On the same lanes, I was a few boards left of where he was playing, which is unusal as he has much more tilt and turn than I do as I am an up the backer on the ball.

Thanks Clint! Did you observe any differences in length of the two balls by chance?

Djarum, sorry but haven't drilled or seen the Big Rig to give you an honest comparison.

I think the Arsenal is a little sooner than his Big Rig..but they are not drilled the same or thrown by the same person, but mine started sooner for me.
