Rising SE Thoughts
« on: September 13, 2009, 05:35:01 AM »
Pin over Bridge Mb out a little more than one inch OOB Surface with Storm 1st step polish.

T&O Lanes: Guardian Heads with old wood backends that fly! I was having issues getting a look with the MoJave and I had the SE in the bag with me that night. I pulled it out at the end of the first game, went 9/ XXX, In the ninth and tenth for a 203. Started the next game, playing 17 out to about 5-6 board at about 45 feet then watching fly back and crush the pocket next two games were 220+,230+ for 667. SE gave the best look I have ever had in the house.

HIT/CARRY: Keeps pins low and smooth to the corners messengers are their as needed but the ball is not a bone crusher or brawler. Carry is great everything that got to the head pin carried no problem, only left one or two ten pins with it thursday night.

Reaction: Long and smooth rolls right through the pins continuation is amazing. Holds very well in the middle of the lane makes it up the hill when I pitched it. When I used this at places with heavier oil I had to play straighter and it held very well.

OVERALL: I expected this ball to hook more. T&O was the third house I tried it at and the only place the ball cornered. The other Two houses were synthetic, one with fresh oil one with carry down, at those two houses I played MUCH straighterlike straight up the boards to get the ball to carry. SE had earned a spot as one of my dry lane balls very possibly replacing my MoJave.

Dry lane ball?  Am I missing something here?

You heard it right and your not missing anything, it don't hook much for me.
It covers half the boards if that of what my Pure Tactics covers.

The pin above the fingers on the SE is the weaker layout! The pin under bridge is the stronger layout. The SE's that I've seen with the pin above was longer and not strong at the break point, but the pin down SE's had a stronger midlane and stronger break point.

Cool, whatever works.  Actually, I think this is the 2nd time I've heard someone using it as a dry ball.
